Something not working, or an idea for what it should do next? Write to support@sleepdrift.app and a person will answer.
When you write in, it helps to include:
your iPhone model, your iOS version, and — if a sound came out wrong — the exact words you typed.
Open the Create tab, type what you want to hear, and tap go. Describe the place and the material, not just the thing: “rain on a canvas tent” beats “rain”, and “box fan in a big empty room” beats “fan”. The first sound of a session takes a moment longer while the engine warms up.
Try rewording rather than repeating. The generator responds to texture and setting, so adding a surface (“on a tin roof”, “through pine trees”) or a distance (“distant”, “close”) usually changes it more than adding adjectives. Every sound also has more than one take — replay it to drift between them.
Check the phone is not in silent mode, and that the volume slider in the app is up — it follows the system volume. Playback continues with the screen off by design; if it stops, make sure Low Power Mode is off and that another app has not taken over audio.
Sleep tab → set a timer. It fades out slowly rather than cutting off. If you also set a gentle wake time, your morning sound rises from a whisper over about two minutes.
Guidance for infant sleep puts all-night sound under roughly 50 dB, with the speaker across the room rather than beside the cot. Settings → Safety → “Check level” measures the room and warns you when the volume is above that. Nothing is recorded during the check.
Tap “restore purchase” on the paywall or in Settings → Purchase, with the same Apple Account you bought with. Sounds you have already made always play, purchase or not.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. If you cancel, sounds already in your library keep playing.
